Diagnostic Hysteroscopy

Diagnostic hysteroscopy------19

A Clear View Inside for Accurate Diagnosis

Diagnostic hysteroscopy is a simple, minimally invasive procedure that allows your doctor to look inside the uterus using a thin, lighted tube called a hysteroscope. This helps in diagnosing problems that may cause abnormal bleeding, infertility, or other gynecological issues.

Why is Diagnostic Hysteroscopy Done?

It is recommended for women experiencing:

  • Abnormal uterine bleeding or spotting

  • Heavy or irregular periods

  • Infertility or recurrent miscarriages

  • Suspected uterine polyps, fibroids, or adhesions

  • Evaluation before certain surgeries or treatments

What Happens During the Procedure?

The hysteroscope is gently inserted through the vagina and cervix into the uterus. This allows Dr. Preeti Meena to see the uterine lining directly on a monitor. The procedure usually takes about 10-20 minutes and is often done under local anesthesia or mild sedation.

If any abnormalities are found, a biopsy or minor treatment may be performed during the same procedure.
